Gungahlin's Climate

Although the climate of Gungahlin is only mild on the world scale, it is fairly unique to Australia, with warm summers and cool to cold, frosty winters - Gungahlin even receives light snow falls in most winters!

Rainfall is moderate, averaging just under 600mm per year. On average, spring is the wettest time of year and the autumn the driest. Totals can vary widely from year to year. Gungahlin is currently in the grip of one of the most severe droughts to effect the region in recorded history.
