Gungahlin's November weather report

The Gungahlin Weather Centre has reported that conditions during November were dominated by cloudy skies, warm temperatures and some welcome rain.According to the centre, nights were cool to mild, with an average minimum temperature of 9.9 degrees, down on the 11.3 degrees recorded last November. The warmest night for the month occurred on November 15, when the temperature was a mild 14.2 degrees, while on November 23 it dropped to a cool 4.1 degrees.
Days were generally warm and cloudy, with an average maximum of 23 degrees, well down on the 25.5 degrees recorded in November 2007. The highest temperature for the month was a hot 31.3 degrees, recorded on November 12. In contrast, rain, highland snow and strong north to north-westerly winds combined to keep Gungahlin's maximum temperature on November 22 to just 14.5 degrees.
Gungahlin recorded a welcome 68.2mm of rain during November, over 13 days. This compared to the 115.5mm which fell last November. Gungahlin's total rainfall for 2008 now stands at 407.5mm, down slightly on the 418.0mm which fell over the same period last year.
Winds at the Weather Centre averaged at 3.5km/h during November, with the strongest gust for the month 51.5 km/h from the N/NW, recorded on November 14.
