Gun Amnesty

In an effort to make Australia a safer place for residents, a firearm amnesty is now in full swing and will continue until May 31.

The amnesty, which began on March 1, allows gun owners to hand in illegal firearms to authorities with no questions asked.

The amnesty extends to gun owners, regardless of whether they are licensed or their firearms are registered. It is also an opportunity for those who do hold a license to register any firearms which are otherwise not known to authorities.
