Gungahlin population continues to grow

The population of the Gungahlin Statistical Subdivision continues to rise and, according to the ‘Regional Population Growth, Australia, 2007-08’ report (issued last week by the Australian Bureau of Statistics), reached almost 38,000 on 30 June 2008. This was up 2,900 people on the population a year earlier.

The Gungahlin suburb with the largest population increase between 2007 and 2008 was Harrison – up by 1,547 people.
