Gungahlin health site confirmed

The designated site of the new Gungahlin Community Health Centre has been announced. The site fronts onto Anthony Rolfe Avenue and Ernest Cavanagh street, near the Child and Family Centre.Health Minister Katy Gallagher said the site had been reserved for community facilities which would allow the construction of a health centre at that location. "The next step is for the Government to begin the development of a community based health services plan which will include details of the services to be provided, what resources are required and how they will integrate for the Gungahlin Health Centre," Ms Gallagher said. She said after the plan had been completed, a building design team would ensure the building would support and facilitate the provision of appropriate health services to the community.
Construction of the Centre is expected to be completed by the end of 2010.
