Gungahlin Gungahlin

Having lived in Gungahlin since 1997 it's great to see the amount of local shopping opportunities increase over the years. I still remember when a caravan parked outside the (at the time yet to be completed) Palmerston shops, selling bread and milk to a small, but growing population.

Today, modern supermarkets, speciality shops and major retail chains abound across Gungahlin.

While the vast majority of stores offer great customer service, I'm amazed at some store workers who just don't 'get it'. My most recent brush with 'service' was just before Christmas (spending several hundred dollars by the way). I was in a well known local major - the (young) lady serving me spent the entire time talking to the next operator about what she was doing for new years eve, not once acknowledging me. Now I wasn't expecting her to give tell me her life story but come on, is this the way to treat customers?

Had any bad experiences whilst shopping in Gungahlin? Let us know by adding to this forum topic.

I've had the same experiences while shopping in woolworths.. a lot of the time the cashiers seem more interested in flirting with the next cashier than acknowledging the customer...
