Gungahlin Drive Extension speed limit increased

The speed limit on the Gungahlin Drive Extension (GDE) has been raised to 90km/h, effective today, 12 March 2012.
Since the upgraded two lane road was opened last year, there has been a chorus of support to have the speed limit on the road raised, with many motorists claiming the original 80km/h limit was just too slow on such a modern and well-constructed roadway.
But the calls to have the speed limit increased to 100km/h, to match the limit on the connecting Tuggeranong Parkway, were rejected.
What do you think? Is 90km/h appropriate for the GDE or should it be raised further to 100km/h? Tell us what you think?
