Gungahlin's population closes in on 50,000.
The first results from the 2011 Census were released on 21 June 2012 by the Australian
Bureau of Statistics.
The 2011 Census, held on 9 August 2011, reveals that the Gungahlin population has reached
47,303. Ngunnawal remains the most populated suburb in Gungahlin with 8,981 residents.
Nichols follows with 6,951 people, Palmerston 5,679 people, Amaroo 5,569 people and
Harrison is fifth with 4,441 people. All suburbs
